Schools reopened today, Tuesday, 17th July 2018 and Faith for Quality Education (FQE) Pastors and Members of the West Rand Executive will lead a “Back-to-school Mandela Day Programme” with schools across the West Rand region.
Under the theme “Conversations” with the New Generation Youth in schools is “VALUES”, the life and legacy of Mandela and his values in relation to current affairs.
The idea is that values should be drawn from Mandela’s life and legacy and tied to current affairs faced by new generation youth in schools.
The back-to-school assembly focused on creating awareness that “old” school values still connect with the values of the digital world, of the new generation youth.
FQE Pastors will lead the Back-to-school Mandela Day Programme in partnership with WRDM leadership.
We owe it to ourselves to pause for a moment in July 2018, to reflect on the 100 Years of Nelson Mandela.
